This project has been running for over two years. It aims to: • Establish clear and efficient links between youth delivery agents, existing partnerships, initiatives and policy developments that impact on the delivery of neighbourhood based activities engaging with children and young people in the NRF areas of Sefton. • Ensure projects are contributing to and reflecting the development of ECM framework and the emerging Youth Strategy and Children’s Trust • Organize training opportunities such as sexual health awareness, conflict management and drug awareness. Tailor-made training courses can also be developed if providers feel they are necessary. Funding to support workers attending courses may be available • Provide support to develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools for projects • Develop appropriate networks for providers so they can share views, ideas and best practice • Identify gaps in provision and helping groups to develop projects to fill these gaps • Sign posting groups to other areas of support, including funding and training • Representing the voluntary sector youth providers from the Every Child Matters Forum to the Youth Strategy Group. The Youth Provider’s Network is a sub-group of the Every Child Matters Forum and comprises a network of groups and organizations from across Sefton. The meetings provide a strategic approach to matters relating to the age range of 13-19 years. The group meets every two months and alternates between the North and South of the borough.
