Sefton CVS has a track record of delivering payroll and community accountancy services and has been delivering payroll support to the third sector since 1995. In that time the organisation has supported over 60 groups in providing a bespoke service to small and large voluntary, community and faith sector organisations.

Currently 17 organisations make use of the service, some of which have utilised the bureau from inception.  Service evaluations have rated the service highly for its professional, confidential and user-friendly approach. The fee structure is dependant on the number of employees and whether a group wishes to access the full menu of services on offer community accountancy service.

Sefton CVS provides a bespoke community accountancy service to third sector organisations in the borough. The Community Accountant has supported groups to maintain their financial records and meet their legal obligations without external assistance. 

The services being developed include training for treasurers, bookkeeping, financial health checks and good practice guides.
