The Young Apprentice Programme is funding by the Working Neighbourhoods Fund (WNF) and aims to provide young people in Sefton with increased opportunities to take part in training, work experience and placements, offering alternative job opportunities as well as a chance to support their local community.

The programme is targeted at young people aged 14+. Young apprentices taking part in the initiative will receive:
- A work placement, experience and training.
- 4 hours experience per week.
- Peer support from other youth-led groups.
- Training opportunities based around their needs.
- A mentor to support their personal development.
- £120 for completing the programme to support their continued learning.
