Training and Development Programme 2010

The Sefton CVS Training Programme features training and development opportunities through short half and full day sessions, longer accredited and non-accredited programmes and specialist seminars, which we hope will meet your needs.

Most voluntary, community and faith sector organisations in Sefton will be eligible to obtain the discounted rates for affiliated members – offering a discount of up to 75%.

Sefton CVS is an approved centre for National Open College Network (NOCN) and aims to provide qualifications at affordable prices.

***NEW*** Sefton CVS are pleased to offer the NSPCC ‘An Introduction to Safeguarding Children Level 1’ for £7.50 per person (usually £31 inc vat). The course is for any person who comes into contact with children during the course of their work. This is an e-learning course which is delivered via internet on a computer in your workplace or at home. The course takes up to 3 hours and you can start and stop the programme at any time.

Course Fees

All prices in this programme are applicable to voluntary, community and faith (VCF) sector organisations. VCF organisations are invited to become affiliated members of Sefton CVS to take advantage of the benefits of concessions. All courses are available to other sectors at a surcharge of 50%.

Venues

This year, ‘Developing Skills’ sessions will be held at either Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre, Netherton or Shakespeare Centre, Southport. For ‘Accredited Training’ and ‘Specialist Seminars’ please see individual section for further details. All venues are accessible to wheelchair users.
